SAWGG Members share livestock and supplies several ways:
Monthly Meeting Live Auction:
- Items must be of auctionable interest, size or quantity to not overwhelm or slow down the auction. Aquarium, pond, or gardening related items only. No open or expired consumables, nor broken or dirty equipment. Animals must be aquarium bagged or bottled with at least 1/2 space of air. Double any thin bags to avoid leaks. A drop of ammonia neutralizer and/or a piece of Poly-Filter® is a good idea. Place used tanks and stands outside the meeting room or in your vehicle due to space limitations. Items not meeting these criteria may be placed on our “Free Table.”
- You can donate items too. This helps fund the club as we are prohibited by our 501c7 structure to hold public fund raisers. Write “donation” on the item so we can record it as such.
- You can sell your items as well. You will receive an 80% split of the sales price. Write your name on the item and collect your earnings at the end of the auction.
- Winning bids are paid with CASH ONLY (visit that ATM before the meeting!).
FREE Table:
- Free Re-use Expunge Share: place anything here you would like to give away, share, or that does not meet our auction criteria. This could be garden produce, tools, books and magazines, plants, fish, equipment, foods, water treatments, parts & supplies, etc.
Private exchanges between Members are fine too.
